About Le Meurice
Le Meurice has occupied its position on Rue de Rivoli since 1817, opposite the Tuileries Garden, and has served as the unofficial headquarters of Paris's creative class for much of that time — Dalí wintered here for decades and left his mark on the property's mythology. The current interiors were redesigned by Philippe Starck in 2007 with a characteristic irreverence: original 18th-century mouldings and painted ceilings paired with surrealist furniture and contemporary art. The two-Michelin-star restaurant Le Meurice, led by Amaury Bouhours, continues the kitchen's long tradition of classically grounded French cuisine. The spa is a full Clarins partner program. The Tuileries location makes this the most central palace hotel in Paris. Best for travelers who want a palace address with a strong contemporary art and design sensibility alongside formal French service.
