About The Ned London
The Ned opened in 2017 inside Edwin Lutyens' magnificent 1924 Midland Bank headquarters — a Grade I listed banking palace in the heart of the City of London, just steps from the Bank of England. Nick Jones and the Soho House Group's transformation of this extraordinary building created something that had never existed before: a members' club, hotel, and dining destination of genuine grandeur in the Square Mile. Eight restaurants — from Cecconi's and Lutyens Grill to Millie's Lounge and The Ned's Club — are spread across the original banking hall, which retains its original columns, marble floors, and soaring ceilings. The members' pool and spa in the basement of the building were carved from the original bank vaults. The 252 rooms are intimate and beautifully designed, each referencing the building's banking heritage with leather, brass, and warm wood throughout. The location in the City means the financial district, St. Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern, and the Barbican are all within walking distance. Best for: City professionals, architecture enthusiasts, those who want a different London experience away from Mayfair, and evening diners wanting multiple restaurant options in one address.
